The yearbook’s conception is primarily a result of the objectives of the “Association for German Language History” and it serves as the Association’s most important publication. The yearbook is a collection of selected presentations held at the Association’s annual conferences, and thus the individual editions of the yearbook take on the overall character of thematically-oriented collected volumes.
